Challenge Grant

A generous challenge grant was made this year by one of our board members. The grant stated that $1,000 would be donated to the Landmark Society if, among the Board of Directors, there were two new Niagara Frontier Patrons at $500 each and eight Joseph Ellicott Patrons at $150 each.

I am very pleased to report that the Challenge was met and we were able to raise over $3,000!! It was very heartening to see all this support from our Board of Directors and it was especially so since many of our new board members participated. Not only did we raise a substantial amount of money in a short time, but the entire process energized the board.

The executive board would like to publicly thank the following board members who participated in the challenge. Cindy Abbott-Letro, R. Maura Cohen, Gary Costello, Dan and Iris Drzewiecki, Appleton Fryer, Dennis Galucki, Dennis Jewell, Christine Peters, Kate Scaglione, Robert Shibley, George Stock, Michael Stock, Jeff Stavino, and Mary Ann Whaley.

The executive board would also like to thank all of our members who have supported the Landmark Society by renewing their memberships. We would especially like to thank our members who renewed at the patron level: Bernice Baeumler, Mary Blessing, Elaine Cryer, Mr. & Mrs. John Duffner, Mitch Flynn, Garrett Leather, Mark Harty, in memory of his mother Teckla, John Henry, Mr. & Mrs. Sherlock Herrick, Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Kelly, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Kresse, Suzanne Pilon, Sam Savarino, Richard Smith, and Assemblyman Paul Tokasz.
