New Programming Increases Membership
The Landmark Society's Buffalo Architecture Center has created an opportunity for the Society to increase its educational programming by 400% over the past year. Architectural lectures and tours have been the main focus of the activities in 2003. Weekly lectures and tours during the spring and fall provided tangible membership benefits to those seeking academic programming.
The Buffalo Architecture Center's programming has been directly responsible for 30 new members this year and the active participation of over 100 of our current membership. Speakers have included artists, architects, planners, architectural historians, educators, and the leaders of numerous preservation organizations. We are in the process of scheduling speakers for 2004. If you are interested in sponsoring a lecture series or you have an issue you would like to see addressed at one of our lectures, please contact the coordinator of the Center, Dennis Galucki, at info@landmark-niagara.org.
The Landmark Society is pleased to welcome the Children of Mary Home Schoolers as new members to the Society. The students have partaken in numerous Landmark activities through the Buffalo Architecture Center during 2003 and look forward to continued participation at future LSNF events!
