Frank Clement Explores History Via His Brick Collection

He started out digging for arrowheads as a boy.

Today, Frank Clement of Hamburg still searches the ground, but now for bricks from lost vintage buildings. He has amassed thousands, many of them works of art, from countless historic sites and manufacturers. He's lined his driveway and created a patio of them, and now is building a garage to house them.

He trades duplicates forother wanted designs with a band of national collectors.

Clement shared tales and some of his collection in the first fall lecture at the Buffalo Architecture Center and later in Niagara Falls.
